Still Right On Target!

Like last time I would like you to play the game first and let the children get a general understanding of what we are trying to do. I would just love if you could set up a hands on experience for them at your home. Since this objective deals with the child planning, conducting, describing, and investigating, I would love if the kids could take part in most of the decision making process. Of course you are there for safety, guidance, and assistance. This has somewhat to do with properties but to stick to our objective I would really like to focus primarily on planning, conducting, investigating, and describing. Thank you so much!!

Here the student can see how things react to different things or how different things react to the same type of force. Have them conduct a hypothesis (or guess) as to what is going to happen after what they observed in the game. They can plan, conduct, and record their findings for each object and the situation.

This Week In Science!!

This week we will be starting a week long unit on the TEK 1112.2 2(b) which (in English) means the learner will be able to plan and conduct simple descriptive investigations. This will take place in and out of the classroom. I encourage you to incorporate this into your daily routines somehow whether that be describing different textures in your house say with furniture or food to comparing and investigating the difference in your pets etc...

There are a few choices here. I would like us to focus mainly on the observing and investigating differences. I would love for you to provide a broad topic to get them started and they take it from there. A great example would be to pick the backyard and they choice what in the backyard they want to explore and investigate.
